Bible Study

The bible study group of Bridge Street United Church meets weekly on Wednesday mornings at 8:30am. We follow the lectionary for passages to use in our study sessions and to guide our wide ranging and engaging discussions. Everyone is welcome.

Children’s Program

Each Sunday – after the Children’s Story – children are invited to grow in their knowledge & experience of God, through storytelling, object lessons, crafts, and discussion.

United Church Women

The UCW at Bridge Street Church is an active group of women who have developed a supportive fellowship within the church family, the local community, and global mission projects.

Over the years, Bridge Street Church has become known as a source of community cultural enrichment through high level music in worship services, special concerts, organ recitals, and regular oratorio performances.

Vocal Choir

Our vocal choir is a staple at BSUC services, offering an anthem most Sundays as well as leading the congregation in hymns. At present we are about 12 singers strong. There is nothing more satisfying than working and polishing music with a group; the experience of voices blending to create something greater than the whole, as well as the social act of doing so keeps you coming back for more. The beauty of a choir is that it is made up of regular people who love to sing-not soloists.

Bell Choir

The bell choir plays a few times throughout the year adding special musical offerings to our worship services and special musical presentations. BSUC has one of the only active bell choirs in the district between Cobourg and Kingston. It enjoys a steady membership of about 10 players and is always looking for new members. Whether you read music or not, there is a place for you in the group. As you participate, you learn all the usual aspects of music reading, along with many playing techniques. Those who play tend to become passionate about the instrument. We perform a few times a year during church services and are invited to play at community events. It is a unique and rewarding experience for all.
